MMResearch™ consists of a team of talented in-house staff, complemented by a network of independent marketing and community research specialists, who work together as a team.

 Theo has gathered together a group of researchers with diverse (complementary) skills and experiences. This stimulates a creative work environment and helps us to provide innovative research solutions for our clients.

 

Theo Muller - Managing Director

Theo MullerTheo is Managing Director of MMResearch™. Theo qualified in commercial law in the Netherlands and gained further qualifications in marketing in New Zealand. He pursued a career in marketing with Lever Rexona and the New Zealand Dairy Board (Fonterra) and founding MMResearch™ in the mid-nineties.

Theo has a passion for relationship marketing and marketing research.  He has authored several articles on these topics, earning him a reputation for being innovative in his philosophies on marketing and market research. He works with many reputable clients in these fields to directly benefit their market position.  Theo is also an experienced and skilled moderator and group facilitator.

Theo has conducted a vast amount of research for the building and construction industry in New Zealand. Under his stewardship, MMResearch™ has conducted research with builders, customers of builders, suppliers to the building and construction industry, building industry regulatory organisations and learning institutions in the building sector.

 

 

Sarah Major - Senior Researcher

 Sarah MajorSarah joined MMResearch™ as a Senior Researcher, responsible for project design, implementation, analysis and client liaison.

Sarah has a BA (Hons) from Victoria University. She majored in Anthropology and English. Before re-joining the work force and after a period of raising a young family with her husband, Sarah worked as market research executive and quantitative project manager, for an international market research firm in Wellington.

This role required her to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including research strategy development, questionnaire design, data analysis, report writing and customer liaison. Sarah has worked both in the public and private sectors, including tourism, immigration services, science and research and FMCGs.

Sarah has managed many research projects for the building and construction sector in New Zealand since joining MMResearch™, including research for membership organisations in the building industry and learning institutions involved in the building and construction industry.

 

Steve Blank - Senior Researcher

Steve Blank - Senior ResearcherSteve has a BA (Economics) from Otago University and began his career as a Balance of Payments Analyst at Statistics NZ. He later moved into survey design and development roles and for seven years, managed a small team of survey designers engaged in a programme of large scale survey developments. More recently Steve completed a feasibility study for a Longitudinal Survey of Youth Transitions at the Ministry of Education, before working as Senior Market Research Advisor for ACC.

At ACC Steve managed the operational side of the ongoing market research programme and provided advice and support to ad hoc research projects.

As a Senior Researcher at MMResearch™, Steve is responsible for project design, implementation, analysis and overall day-to-day project management.

Steve has overseen the development of the oMMniBuild™ database of licensed builders in New Zealand. oMMniBuild™ is a quarterly inexpensive online survey of n=500 licensed builders in New Zealand, providing a unique opportunity to obtain a builder's perspective of everything in the building and construction sector in New Zealand.

Steve is also the principal developer and designer of MMDashboard™, our interactive reporting tool.

 

Qualitative interviewers

We also employ several part-time qualitative interviewers. These are all very experienced individuals, who consistently achieve high response rates on the assignments allocated to them. We often use their services for qualitative research projects or research projects that require a multi-method data collection strategy.

 

Juanita Helg - Managing Director TeleLink

Juanita Helg

Juanita oversees the special partnership Telelink has with MMResearch™ to complete large Computer Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI surveys). Juanita is qualified in Call Centre Management from the Direct Marketing Association, has a MBA and has recently qualified with a Certificate in Fundraising. Phone surveys are an excellent way to get credible data urgently, proven at times essential for businesses to better understand their existing customers, identify new markets and develop effective strategies for the business.
