Qualitative in-depth interviews
A qualitative research interview is a structured social interaction between a researcher and a subject who is identified as a potential source of information. Generally the interviewer initiates and controls the exchange to obtain information relevant to the topic at hand.
Qualitative interviews (conducted face-to-face or via telephone) are well suited to gathering information on complex issues, and can also be used to gather some quantitative information. They are an excellent tool for in-depth exploratory research.
